THE CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
A PSR style framework focusing on key aspects of wellbeing has been developed by the ABS (Developing Frameworks for Australian Social Statistics) to provide a holistic and cohesive conceptual basis for Australian social statistics. The conceptual framework incorporates three dimensions:
Each dimension has a number of highlighted elements. The elements are broad in nature and each is considered important to wellbeing directly, and/or indirectly. It should be noted that the dimensions (and their elements) are non-hierarchical and are not mutually exclusive; there are overlaps and linkages between each.
